One brand, one county
Narrow on purpose. Depth on a single manufacturer is worth more on a built-in appliance than breadth across ten.
Independent, and clear about it
That is not a formality buried in a footer. It is the reason to read the rest of this site: nobody is routing your call, setting the rate, or deciding which parts get fitted except Clayfield Appliance Service.
Credentials
EPA Section 608 certified technicians. EPA Section 608 certification covers handling of the sealed refrigerant systems in built-in refrigeration. It is a federal technician credential, not a manufacturer program.
Why Thermador only
A built-in kitchen is not a collection of interchangeable boxes. The service literature, the parts channel and the diagnostic habits are specific to the manufacturer, and they only compound if you stay on one. Adding a second brand would dilute all three.
How a visit is run
Cheapest and most reversible first. The complaint is confirmed with an instrument rather than a display, then the supply, then the door and the opening, then airflow, and only then the control board — which is the most expensive guess on the list and the one most often ordered first elsewhere.
A good share of what looks like appliance failure in Clay County is installation geometry or power history rather than a failed component, and neither is fixed by a part. Saying so costs a job and keeps the estimate worth reading.
What this company will not take on
Work inside a live manufacturer warranty belongs to the manufacturer, and an independent repair can complicate a claim. An open recall or a published safety action is theirs to carry out as well. Gas supply beyond the appliance, panel work and duct construction are licensed trades, and they get referred rather than attempted.
Comfort heating and cooling sit outside the practice altogether. No furnaces, no air handlers, no heat pumps, no mini-splits, no thermostats and none of the ductwork that serves the rest of a house: a home that will not warm up or will not cool down is not a job for this company, and saying so on the telephone takes ten seconds. What is on the list is the built-in kitchen — wall and steam ovens, ranges and rangetops, refrigeration columns, dishwashers, coffee systems and the extraction hood over the cooking surface, including the hood's own duct run out through the roof or the wall.
Cheapest cause first
The control board is the last thing read, not the first thing ordered.
What does independent actually mean here?
- Are you part of Thermador service?
- No, and the footer of every page says so in full. This is an independent workshop that chose one manufacturer and fits genuine OEM parts. Nobody appointed us to it, and the price on this page is ours rather than a published schedule.
- What happens if the same fault comes back?
- The repair carries 90 days on labor and 365 days on the parts we supply. Genuine OEM parts. If the same fault returns inside that window the return visit is not a second diagnostic.
- How do I book, and when are you working?
- Two ways and no third: the telephone, (904) 478-8963, or the booking link, which is hosted at nexfield.pro. No form lives on these pages, and no email address either. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am – 4:00pm. Closed Sunday. Scheduled appointments only.
